Chorda Cello String, D - 29 - 4/4 from Pirastro.

Chorda cello strings produce a warm and soft sound and are ideal for baroque music. The A and D strings are pure gut; the G and C are wound with silverplated copper wire and are unpolished.

They have a brilliant and soft sound with enormous possibilities and a very low string tension with a comfortable left hand feeling.

The G and C strings are also available wound with a plain copper wire. They are also unpolished and sound darker compared to the standard G and C strings.

For the tailpiece, the A and D strings come without a knot while the G and C strings come with a knot.
