This book for young violinists is a collection of humorous, original songs with words. These songs engage children by using themes common to their lives. They are all based on simple melodic and rhythmic patterns in the keys of A, D, G, and A minor (without the raised 7th). The songs are easily learned by reading or rote, and are fun to play! They make an excellent and entertaining supplement to Suzuki Vol.1, or any other beginning level method book. Sticky Sticky Jelly can also be used for beginning ensembles. All of the songs work as duets with the cello/viola volume. Six of the eighteen songs have illustrations for the child to colour. Illustrations by Pam Lis.
