These strings have a highly flexible multi-strand nylon core which produces a full and rich sound. The success of Dominant owes a lot to its similarity in tone and response to gut strings, without gut’s inherent drawbacks. Dominant strings also project well, have an easy bow response, and remain stable under extreme atmospheric conditions. We recommend using a Dominant C, G, and D with a Larsen strong A string (our preferred set for violas).
